Jan Pet overleden
Helaas is Jan 'Pet' van der Sluis afgelopen maandag op 64 jarige leeftijd
overleden.
Deze pur sang 'Hagenees' en blues organisator, waar ik de week voor zijn
overlijden nog contact mee had over onze deelname aan het Hofstad Bluesfestival,
was een van de allereerste roadies van onze band.
We hadden met Jan dan ook een bijzondere band en kwamen elkaar heel vaak tegen
bij onze concerten. Zelf staat Jan nog op onze laatste clip tussen het publiek
naar zijn geliefde band te luisteren en was Jan ook nog 'special guest' bij onze
laatste cd presentatie.
Wij danken Jan voor alles wat hij voor de blueswereld en voor Livin' Blues
Xperience heeft betekend en houden hem voor altijd in onze gedachten.

12 juni 2010 - LBX at 'The Hague Jazz Festival'
Niets rustig beginnen, gelijk knallen met de Livin' Blues
Experience. Briljante muziek kan ook van dichtbij komen, laat de Haagse frontman
Nicko Christiansen horen, die in de oorspronkelijke Livin' Blues onder meer met
Steve Lukather (Toto), Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) en 'onze eigen' Cesar
Zuiderwijk speelde. Zijn rauwe stem zorgt in de rustige nummers voor kippenvel
en nodigt een seconde later uit tot dansen. Magnifiek is de mondharmonicaspeler
Francois Spannenburg, die het metalen instrument bespeelt alsof het één met zijn
lichaam is. Aan elke sfeer past hij zich aan. Het duurt dan ook niet lang of de
eerste luisteraars beginnen met hun heupen te wiegen. Christiansen springt van
het podium en richt zijn microfoon op een Afrikaans meisje van rond de 15 jaar,
die enthousiast meezingt. Hoezo zou blues alleen voor ouderen zijn? (bron:

17 oktober - Nicko Christiansen met the mayor of The Hague
Saturday 17 October Nicko played with two other friend musicians on the
60-70 festival in the Boekhorststraat in The Hague. The mayor who officially opened
the festival had a nice chat with Nicko and was very interested in Nicko's music
and the role Nicko plays as ambassador abroad for The Hague. Apart from a lot of
music, the legendary Boekhorststraat was full of 60 and 70 tie cars and even Puch's.
Idea behind this festival was to get focus again on the Boekhorststraat of the shopping
public and to demonstrate that most of the original shops of those good old days,

Saturday 26 september Livin' Blues Xperience will play on the Blommenfestival in Roosendaal. At 8 PM the band will kick off the festival by giving a concert on the outdoor stage located at the Tongerloplein in Roosendaal. In addition of the show of LBX, there will be blues bands in another 9 clubs and pubs in the city.

Succesful LBX tour in July in Poland
From July 1st till July 11th, Livin' Blues Xperience did a very successful tour
in Poland and Chech Republic; in 10 different places and venues, the band did their
